Ikea is here

Yesterday was the offical opening of Ikea Dublin after a long and hard expectation. Personally, being welcomed by people in Swedish folk costumes and ABBA music playing out loud was quite a surreal experience for me but it didn't seem to affect the Dublin...

Mum's magazine

While going through my little craft library I found a magazine I had 'borrowed' from my mother some time ago. It's a collection of Yugoslavian embroidery patterns published in 1978 by the Spanish publisher Realce that specializes in needlecraft pattern...

Replicata

I discovered Replicata during my trip to Freiburg last month. Among other products they offer replicas of tiles from the Jugendstil period. Have a look at these, aren't they gorgeous? (pictures from Replicata)

An old book

I love Eastern European music, so I was extremely happy when our friends from Antikvariat Mingus in Prague gave me this book. It's an old Czech book about Romanian folk songs, showing a selection of folk music scores with lyrics both in Czech and Romanian...
